Normal Day is episode 23b of Fanboy and Chum Chum season 2 and the 97th episode of the series overall.
After Fanboy and Chum Chum discover they've been wacky all this time and haven't learned to act normal, they decide to change their image and act normal and proper for one entire day. Their new attitude suddenly becomes seemingly obsessive as they try have privacy because they are now unable to help their friends and get used to everything silly.
Plot[]
After a brief battle with Glaxnor the space squid and retrieving their mail at the Fanlair, Chum Chum admits that him and Fanboy's lives are VERY abnormal and want to experience what it would be like to have completely normal day. At first, Fanboy was reluctant to believe that their lives weren't normal but he reconsiders.
The two eventually enter the kitchen and prepare a cereal, though it isn't done the traditional way as Fanboy pours cereal and milk into Chum Chum's mouth as he lays on the tables. They soon realize that they've been doing it wrong all along. Out of milk, the duo walk to the fridge and to their surprise, Thorvald was inside. Thorvald wants Fanboy and Chum Chum to accompany him as he will soon battle the beast of hades, but Fanboy and Chum Chum refuse because they are on their "normal day" experience and wouldn't want to ruin it. Thorvald begs them for aid but to no avail, they refuse once again. They debated to get more milk at the Frosty Mart but, surprisingly, Thorvald overheard and brought Mitzi as means to use for goat milk. Unsurprisingly, they've refused and it eventually lead to Chum Chum persistently shutting the fridge door with Thorvald and Mitzi in it. The boys soon make their way to the Frosty Mart.
Moments later, the boys are see walking through the city of Galaxy Hills with their formal suits on and a somewhat sub-par British accent. As they are walking, they make brief but uncomfortable interactions with other residents who also happens to be walking. Waiting for a traffic light at a lot in front of an empty parking lot, the duo comes across Global Warmer who was out to take his laundry to the laundromat. This GREATLY irritated Fanboy and he threatened to confront him. Chum Chum persuaded Fanboy to not engage in any misdemeanor with the supervillain, but Fanboy blindly confronts him. Instead of the naturally evil Global Warmer who wanted to commit crimes, he really wanted to take his clothes to the laundromat. Eventually, Fanboy strikes his basket which falls on the road before shortly being ran over by a couple cars. Global Warmer acted rather disappointed and expressed genuine disinterest but before he could pick all of his clothes up, Fanboy ordered Chum Chum to press an eject button that sent Global Warmer flying Miles and Miles away from the duo who eventually crossed the road and made their way to the convenient store.
The boys made their way in the convenient store and bought the milk they needed for their cereal. They approached Lenny, who was working at the front counter and he immediately questioned their sudden change of behaviors. However, they've assured him that they weren't there to cause any trouble and simply wanted to go on with their normal day. Lenny was relieved after hearing this bit of good news and commentates that whenever he's around the boys, there is always something crazy going to happen and to his horror, he was right. A moment later, the Frosty Mart started vibrating violently and a petrified Lenny questions the situation but Fanboy and Chum Chum were very oblivious to their surrounding. Not long after, the front counter of the Frosty Mart fell underground with the three while Lenny was screaming. After falling into HADES, the boys encounter Thorvald who was battling the beast of the underworld. Thorvald assumes that they've changed their minds which resulted in another refusal. Fanboy and Chum Chum then demands Lenny to ring up their order but he was too terrified to do anything and even offered the milk to them for free. However as a result of high morale, they insisted Lenny to ring up their milk, but not before offering them an assurance if their experience was delightful upon the duo's request. A reluctant Lenny, rings up their milk. Before escaping, Chum Chum wanted Lenny to hole punch their coupon but he told him that it didn't fall with them into the underworld. Eventually, the beast is slayed by Thorvald and Chum Chum used it's tail as a hole puncher and commented that the last one is free.
Moments later they've escaped Hades. Unfortunately, as the cracks grew smaller, Lenny didn't entirely make it out as the top half of his head was above ground level. He was struggling to speak or to move with the exception of his two arms protruding above. Successfully getting their milk, Fanboy and Chum Chum celebrated, but all was ruined when the cow on the milk carton spoke and agreed with the boys. This became the last straw for the duo and they angrily recapped on all the abnormal events that they were trying to avoid that day.
They angrily marched out of the convenient store and Fanboy loudly called out all of the monsters and mythical beings around them. This included characters like, Lucky Charlie, Mecha-Rex, Yum-Yum, and zombie Scampers to protrude from their post. Eventually Fanboy and Chum Chum demanded all of them to board a bus and leave town for good. While the boys did a written count of all the monsters boarding the bus and to a surprise, this included Boog as well. Boog was confused on why he wasn't considered normal and Fanboy poked fun at his design by commenting the impossibility of his tiny legs carrying his massive body. His legs came loose and he falls to the ground, which results in him admitting that he's "freak-a-licious". The other monsters help carry him onto the bus and moments later, all boarded the bus and left.
Later that night at the Fanlair, the boys are watching TV and eating cereal; their intended goal from the very start. While watching and eating, Chum Chum questions Fanboy about the giant, green, eyeball staring down at them from above the Fanlair's open roof, but Fanboy dismisses it and Chum Chum happily agrees. The boys then enjoy the rest of their night.

- Fanboy and Chum Chum speaking in exaggerated British accents.
- Fanboy and Chum Chum complaining whenever anything "abnormal" shows up.
- Fanboy and Chum Chum's normal attitude is inspired by Kyle, who isn't used to abnormal things and owns nearly anything that's fancy.
- Despite this, Kyle himself doesn't appear.
