Fanboy & Chum Chum Wiki

"Uhm, Fanboy? I think you're stalling."
-Chum Chum questioning Fanboy[source]

"Sir" Edmund Chummery[2], better known as Chum Chum, is a junior superhero-in-training and one of the two titular main protagonists (alongside Fanboy) of the Fanboy & Chum Chum series. He is Fanboy's best friend and faithful sidekick.

Background[]

His family comes from the tribe known as "Chulks" from the country of Chulkistan. His cousins and "Chuncle" Joe are Chulks just like him. Chum Chum first met Fanboy when both were young, and Chum Chum poked Fanboy's eye[3]. Chum Chum currently lives and has lots of fun as a roommate with Fanboy. As he is quite short, he learns that being the smallest person is sometimes fun.

Personality[]

Chum Chum "could I get your autograph?" s1e17a

As Fanboy's best friend, Chum Chum is always full of fun. Chum Chum is easily fooled, and seems to like chocolate covered raisins, and he has a squeaky voice. Yo likes him, because he is 'Adorable', 'Cute', And 'Chum Chummy'. Fanboy doesn't like this but feels sorry for her sometimes.

He is the youngest member of Fanboy's main group of friends, and hates being the smallest person. However, Chum Chum knows that he is not the only small person. He also has a cousin, Muk Muk, who is the same size as him and looks slightly like him but talks with a weird accent. Chum Chum can also stretch out really tall, like he's standing strong.

Chum Chum is always smarter than Fanboy and points out the stronger concept than what he said. He is also loyal and will always stand up for Fanboy no matter what. Despite being the smarter one of the two, he can be very gullible at times.

Physical Appearance[]

Superhero[]

Chum Chum is short and chubby, with peach skin. Like Fanboy, he has a blush on his cheeks, but a little paler. He has dark brown hair with bangs swoop to the left. There are two parts at the top, that curl away from each other. His right front tooth in his upper jaw is slightly larger than the left.

Like Fanboy, he has his own set of trademark clothes. He usually wears an orange shirt with short yellow shelves and his logo on the chest (originally two yellow rectangular buttons). On the bottom, he wears a pair of yellow footless tights. Layered on top of the tights sports his trademark white underwear with yellow bands. He wears a black eye mask with bumps on the bottom of each eye, short black gloves to match, and a short, yellow cape. On his feet, he wears a pair of black low-top sneakers.

Werewolf[]

While Fanboy dresses up as Frankenstein for Halloween, Chum Chum dresses up as a Werewolf. His skin is noticeably tanner to match the tone of a typical Werewolf, his nose is also brown rather than remaining apricot toned. His hair is thicker and slicked back, has razor sharp teeth and sports a beard under his chin. For his body, Chum Chum's gloves now come with claws that protrude from his fingertips the ankle area from his yellow unitard, are torn open, exposing his lower legs which also appear to resemble the same dark skin.

Chumbelina Jolie[]

While disguised for Yo's slumber as a girl, Chum Chum wears two blue 80's inspired triangular earrings, a white t-shirt a retro triangle wearing blue shades which may pass off as another 80's style clothing, and multicolored bangles on his right wrist sporting yellow, turquoise, and hot pink. He also has a black unitard bodysuit which can be seen on his upper right arm above the shirt and on his upper legs. Chum Chum's skin is visibly paler, and his blushes are more less faint as they are redder. He also wears pink lipstick and sports a multicolored pink and blonde hair (though this may be a wig), as well as bearing three eyelashes above his eyes. While fanboy retains his black and white sneakers, Chum Chum's shoes are instead replaced by pink high heels. However, his gloves and mask remain the same. His disguise’s name is a spoof of American actress, Angelina Jolie.

Relationships[]

Fanboy[]

Fanboy is Chum Chum's best friend. Despite being shorter, the duo gets along very well. They share many interests, agrees with the other's ideas, perform elaborate song and dance numbers to express their appreciation for each other. The two cannot be separated and if they were, it will result with a ripped hole into the space-time continuum and put the fate of the universe at stake ("Separation Anxiety"). The two met at a preschool as toddlers and they currently live at the Fanlair as a heroic duo. Chum Chum is Fanboy's sidekick and cares deeply for his best friend by expressing his upmost loyalty and care with hugs, kisses, and cuddles. By pulling pranks, "Prank Day", causing trouble "The Janitor Strikes Back", and their unbelievable luck streak "Frosty Mart Dream Vacation", this duo is unstoppable!

Kyle[]

Although Kyle is annoyed with the antics of the boys, he is less annoyed with Chum Chum likely due to his slightly "less intense" personality, as well as being more tolerable out of the two. Though Kyle and Chum Chum's sole interactions are rare, they get along very well on-screen. Kyle also places more trust in Chum Chum as shown in "Speed Eraser" when he wanted Chum Chum to retrieve his wand after having his body erased. Overall, Kyle and Chum Chum's interactions are positive.

Yo[]

Yo bears a strong, crazy obsession towards Chum Chum. When the opportunity opens to her, she often tries to steal Chum Chum, but this interaction always engages Fanboy to reprimand her and save Chum Chum. Though Chum Chum is a bit intimidated by her and gets annoyed with her constant attempts to steal him, he still holds no resentment towards her. He even considers Yo a friend. Chum Chum and Yo's friendship isn't displayed too much on-screen due to her un-ending obsession with him.

Lenny[]

F&C hug Lenny in the spotlight

Fanboy and Chum Chum hugging a worried Lenny

Unlike Kyle, who expresses his resentment towards Fanboy and Chum while secretly desiring their friendship, Lenny absolutely HATES the duo. His hatred is so severe that he even used Dollar-nator as a time machine to to revert to the prior 5 years and do what he could to cut any connection with the boys and his former self (Back From The Future). Though Chum Chum and Lenny never held a one-on-one interaction with each other, Lenny despises them both equally. Although Chum Chum is oblivious to his contempt and disgust, he cares about Lenny.

Boog[]

Boogpranks

Fanboy and Chum Chum witnessing Boog's celebration

Boog is the bully that torments Fanboy and Chum Chum. At one point, Chum Chum stuck up for Fanboy after Boog bopped him into the produce aisle, however, this resulted in boog threatening and mocking Chum Chum for his small stature (The Incredible Chulk). Boog cannot stop his endless bopping. He was much different when he began working at the Frosty Mart, to which he refrained from bopping as was even callous behind it's definition (Back From The Future). He once assisted the boys in pranking Yo after her brutal pranks towards Fanboy. Boog's interaction with Chum Chum is very rare but he loves bop two birds with one stone.

Oz[]

F,C & Oz with prizes

Fanboy, Chum Chum & Oz with prizes

As Chum Chum's second-best friend and "sensei", Oz will occasionally tag along with Fanboy and Chum Chum's adventures. Oz and Chum Chum both share a good a solid friendship with one another. Chum Chum is a regular visitor at Oz's shop, Oz Comix where would occasionally purchase a comic book or an action figure. Chum Chum will also look up to Oz for guidance when something wrong happens. Although Chum Chum has un-intentionally caused some damage to Oz's items, such as the Crabulus action figure (The Hard Sell), Their friendship is overall positive.

Marsha[]

It’s really nice to see you, Chum Chum

Unlike Fanboy, in “Marsha, Marsha, Marsha”, it was revealled that Marsha was one of Chum Chum’s friends, because he did not sneeze on Marsha’s test. But overtime, their friendship became so weak to the point that they eventually became enemies. This was also revealled in “Face-Eating Aliens From Planet X”.

Episode Appearances[]

Like Fanboy, Chum Chum has also appeared in every episode in the series so far.

Skills and Abilities[]

Chum Chum can jump very high as shown in many episodes.

In Fanboyfriend he gained the abilities of flight, laser projection and invisibility.

In Brain Freeze he had used a more enhanced form of laser projection.

He has the ability to use "big pleading eyes" on someone to persuade them to do something.
